The Associate Insurance Advisor I is a key player in the support and development of the agency operation primarily through the sales and service of Co-operators personal lines products (auto and home insurance) and may provide some basic support for additional product lines. 

 

How you will create impact: 

  • Sales, service and profitable growth of personal lines insurance products. 
  • Advise and recommend coverages and policies that best meet client needs. 
  • Prospect and cross sell by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client. 
  • Complete front-line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines. 
  • Identify which risks require inspections and re-inspections. May be required to complete inspections. 
  • Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity. 
  • Support programs to build multi-client relationships. 
  • Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately.

To join our team: 

  • General Insurance License is required or must obtain within two (2) months. 
  • Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses. 
  • One (1) year sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of auto and property insurance products and experience with selling techniques is an asset.

  • This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment. 
  • You may be required have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.

The Associate Insurance Advisor II is a key player in the support and development of the agency operation primarily through sales and service. This role utilizes a broad knowledge of The Co-operators insurance products and services including personal lines (auto, home) and specialty lines (farm and commercial). In addition, may provide sales and service for life and wealth products if life licensed.

 

How you will create impact: 

  • Sales, service and profitable growth of both personal lines and specialty lines products.
  • Advise and recommend coverages and policies that best meet client needs.
  • Actively focus on prospecting for all lines of business by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client.
  • Complete front line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines.
  • Complete inspections and re-inspections.
  • Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals.
  • Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Proactively complete client reviews on the auto, home, farm and/or commercial portfolio.

To join our team:

  • General Level 2 license is required.
  • 2 years of MPI experience is required including SRE
  • MPI courses up to date
  • A minimum of 2 years insurance industry experience including sales experience is preferred.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of auto and property insurance products and strong underwriting skills.
  • KAP courses are required or will be obtained after hire
  • Meet the requirements to be a KAP

To join our team: 

  • You have 3-5 years of management experience in the insurance industry or related business experience.
  • You have post-secondary education in a related field.
  • You hold a Life license and a General Insurance license, with a Mutual Funds license as an asset.
  • You have completed or working toward one of the following professional designations: CFP, CLU, CHFC or accredited Financial Planning Designation.

 

What you need to know: 

  • You will be away from the office on a regular basis meeting with clients and/or members of the community in their environment.
  • You are required have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.  
  • You may provide support to clients who are experiencing a personal or financial loss. A high degree of confidentiality and discretion is required. 
  • You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
