The Town of Wynyard will honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Monday September 30th, 2024 with a Walk for Reconciliation beginning at the Peace Park at 10am. '
The event will open in a good way with Elder Bill Strongarm sharing the truth and history of Residential Schools and the importance of Reconciliation.
Attendees will then walk together down main street to Ave A and the LED Sign where there is a special Truth and Reconciliation Day Presentation. Attendees may linger to read all or parts of the presentation, and then continue back towards the Peace Park.
Attendees are encouraged to wear orange.
